The Objectives of the Oromocto and Area S.P.C.A. are:

  • To look after the physical and psychological welfare of abandoned abused and unwanted animals.
  • To adopt each animal into a suitable and caring home.
  • To promote humane attitudes and responsible pet ownership through public education.
  • To eliminate euthanasia as a means of controlling the pet over-population.
  • To protect and maintain the rights and dignity of all living things.

The Board of Directors is a group of volunteers who are the Governing body of Oromocto and Area SPCA. The Board is responsible for the general management of the OSPCA in between general meetings of the Society. Within the organization is one full-time paid staff member (Shelter Supervisor) and three part-time employees. The remaining positions are all volunteers.
