Oromocto & Area SPCA, RAISE THE WOOF Campaign


It’s time to RAISE THE WOOF for the dogs and cats at the Oromocto & Area SPCA.

The OSPCA is hoping to build two outdoor structures to protect the animals from the winter snow, the summer sun, and everything in between. Several fundraising events will be taking place over the next 5 months to cover some of the cost of the projects. Support from the public will be needed to help us RAISE THE WOOF for our four legged friends.

The first project involves expanding the concrete pads in each existing dog kennel and putting a stainless steel roof over the entire area. This will allow the dogs to enjoy the outdoor fresh air while also keeping them protected from snow, rain and sun. It will make it easier for staff and volunteers to keep the kennels accessible during snow storms. Also, it will make infection control and cleaning of the kennels easier for staff.

The second project is an outdoor cat enclosure. Currently cats are kept indoors at all times. The chance for the cats to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine will reduce stress levels and enhance their overall quality of life while at the shelter. The “Catio” will be used in the spring, summer, fall and the occasional winter day. We also hope to set an example for the cat owning population by showing how cats can safely enjoy outdoor life. Catio structures can be modified to fit anyone’s home. They can be as basic or as elaborate as one’s imagination.

Is it your Birthday? Would you love to spend it at the shelter? We are now offering Birthday Parties...you show up...we do all the work. :)

Time:
Weekends-12:00 to 2:00pm or 2:30 to 4:30pm

EXTREME PARTIES-$150 (tax included) for a maximum of 10 children (6+ yrs)
-Goodie bag and balloon for each child
-Animal cake or picture of your choice on top
-Age appropriate craft
-Age appropriate game
-Party supplies(cups, plates, napkins, utensils
tablecloth, streamers and balloons)
-Set up and clean up
-Animal interaction

REGULAR PARTY-$100 (tax included) for a maximum of 10 children (6+ yrs)
-Animal cake or picture of your choice on top
-Age appropriate game
-Age appropriate craft
-Set up and clean up
-Animal interaction

A $50 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours after booking party.

You will need to provide food and drink for your party guests. We ask that drinks not be red or purple. Fridge space is available if required. We ask that at least two adults stay for the duration of the party and additional adults are always welcome. For more details, please call (506) 446-4107
